My story
Once known as Charlie, a sociable medium-sized white and beige grown-up boy, now found himself abandoned and all alone in the desolate Romanian countryside. With his ribcage protruding through his matted fur, the British dog rescuers, Gareth and Emily, stumbled upon his emaciated form during their expedition. It was a sight that would forever be etched in their hearts, one that would ignite their determination to find him a loving home.
As they approached Charlie, he cautiously lifted his head, his forlorn eyes meeting theirs. The agony and betrayal were palpable, visibly etched on his weary face. He had once been someone's loyal companion, but now cast aside, left to fend for himself against the harsh elements. Gareth and Emily couldn't bear to leave him behind, and so they gently coaxed Charlie towards them with soft words and outstretched arms.
Transporting Charlie back to the United Kingdom was no easy feat, but his resilience and newfound hope gave Gareth and Emily the strength to endure the bureaucratic hurdles.
